The following events have been planned: -

Official Opening: Wed 1st February 2012 at 6pm - 9pm at UCS Waterfront Building

Guest Speakers:
  • Dame Claire Bertschinger – the Red Cross nurse forced to decide who to feed & who to let die in the Ethiopian famine, a situation that led Bob Geldof to establish Live Aid
  • Col. James Durant (Officer in the American Bar Association and former Division Chair); whose father was a contemporary of Dr King at Morehouse and whose ancestors' experience of slavery was told in the Roots TV series.

Inspiration Café: Tue 7th February 2012 at 7:00pm at UCS West Building

The 'Inspiration Café' will be a dialogue to: create new community connections, stimulate thinking about the themes of the exhibition, and generate practical actions to carry forward.
